Is LaunchPoint currently open?
No. LaunchPoint Aviation Group is presently developing the proposed flight-training operation. The anticipated launch is in 2027, but no fixed opening date has been announced.
Can I enroll now?
No. LaunchPoint is collecting expressions of interest only. The company is not accepting enrollment agreements, deposits, tuition payments, or aircraft reservations.
What happens when I join the Interest List?
You will receive an email asking you to confirm your address. After confirmation, LaunchPoint may send occasional updates regarding the program’s development and notify you when enrollment information becomes available.
Does joining guarantee me a training position?
No. Joining the Interest List does not reserve a place, guarantee admission, establish priority, or create a contractual relationship.
Where will the school be located?
LaunchPoint is evaluating airport options in the Springfield and greater Ozarks region. The final operating location will be announced after the necessary agreements and operational arrangements have been completed.
What aircraft will LaunchPoint use?
The aircraft has not been finalized for public announcement. LaunchPoint is evaluating aircraft suitability, maintenance history, insurance, operating cost, and training reliability before making a final selection.
How much will training cost?
Pricing has not yet been established. Final rates will depend upon the aircraft, insurance, fuel, maintenance, facilities, instructor arrangements, and other operating costs.
Will LaunchPoint offer private-pilot or commercial-pilot training?
LaunchPoint’s planned initial program will focus on sport-pilot students. Additional services have not been announced.
Do I need prior flying experience?
No prior aviation experience is required to join the Interest List.
Do I need an FAA medical certificate?
For many eligible applicants pursuing daytime sport-pilot privileges, FAA regulations permit the use of a valid United States driver’s license instead of an FAA medical certificate. Specific eligibility requirements and limitations apply. LaunchPoint cannot determine individual eligibility through the website.
What if I previously applied for an FAA medical certificate?
Prior FAA medical history may affect whether a person can use the driver’s-license pathway. Do not submit medical records or diagnoses through this website. Review current FAA guidance and obtain individualized advice where appropriate.
Can minors join the Interest List?

Are you accepting deposits?
